In the living room area, Chen uses jade to create the TV wall, showcasing the grandeur of the public domain. Through the change of light, shadow, and angle, the jade produces different lusters, echoing the image of the fireplace. In the study room, the bookcase is made of acrylic and presented with latches, allowing for easy adjustment according to the client's needs. The abstract art backsplash on the side perfectly complements the client's artistic and literary temperament.
The design strikes a balance between classical sophistication and modern streamlining, pursuing a sense of elegance and luxury in the space. The entrance floor is paved with marble, exuding elegance, while geometric shapes made of copper pieces present a welcoming atmosphere. Beveled wood flooring in the living room and bedroom adds a three-dimensional texture, and the study room features a special hexagonal parquet, creating a unique atmosphere.
With a space of 158 square meters, this residence boasts 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a living room, and a dining room. The hospitable client desired a gallery-like sense of simplicity and sophistication in a modern luxury style. Chen started from the display, fabric, lighting, and more, using a combination of materials and flexible artistic skills to create a different and modern luxury style that seamlessly blends function and aesthetics.
The space is designed with practical and restrained luxury as the primary style, aiming to create a home that combines comfort and functionality with a neo-classical and modern aesthetic. The designer created a spacious public space, a children's room, and a maid's room based on the layout and the needs of the client. The enclosed kitchen separates the public area, providing a comfortable space for guests. The thoughtfulness in this project not only creates a perfect home but also satisfies the client's daily needs.
This project was completed in December 2021 in Taiwan. The design is a result of extensive research, combining modern and neo-classical styles to create a story-like design. Each area of the residence has a different story, filled with surprise, elegance, comfort, and functionality.
